Cheoy Lee Shipyards has built over 5,000 vessels ranging from 40' to well over 200'; each large yacht for sale is designed and build to the customer's individual needs and requirements. Run by the same family since 1870, Cheoy Lee started off as a building and repair yard for steam powered craft in Shanghai, China. In 1936 the family moved the business to Hong Kong and started to specialize in the production of powered cargo vessels. This led them a few decades later to start building teak sailing and motor yachts, mostly built for export to the U.S. Many of these boats are still being sailed today, which is truly a testament of the quality of constructions that continues to this day.
Cheoy Lee has also worked with the very best interior designers and engineers in the industry. With over 5000 hulls built over the past 70 years, they have quite the depth of experience in a wide range of vessels. Cheoy Lee has built numerous motor yachts, mega-yachts, sport fishers, trawlers, motorsailers, patrol boats, supply vessels, ferries, and tugs that have been delivered with pride and confidence over the years.
