CELEBRATED SAILOR KEN READ TAKES DELIVERY OF SOLUNA 46’
Soluna Yachts is proud to announce the delivery of the exciting new Soluna 46’ express cruiser to Ken Read, one of the world’s most accomplished and celebrated sailors. Mr. Read has twice served as helmsman aboard America’s Cup challenger “Stars & Stripes”, twice been named “United States Rolex Yachtsman of the Year”, and won over forty national, North American, and world championships. He is currently vice-president of North Sails North America and director of Puma Ocean Racing.
We are extremely gratified that such a knowledgeable and experienced sailor has chosen a Soluna Yachts vessel for himself and his family. Soluna Yachts performance cruisers are built using the latest state-of-the-art construction techniques and materials. Our hulls are constructed with hand-laminated Monolithic GRP and enhanced with Diab Divinycell and E-Glass unidirectional clothes. The hull designs are optimized to cruise comfortably at just under 30 knots with relatively compact engines in order to maximize fuel economy.
The interiors finishings are crafted using a variety of rich handcrafted wood species while still utilizing advanced core materials for weight savings & structural resiliance. The Soluna Yachts comes standard with twin Yanmar Diesel Engines, Onan generators, bow thruster, plus a full host of industry leading electronics and entertainment equipment.
