TRINITY YACHTS FOR RON HOLLAND DESIGN

Trinity Yachts
Trinity Yachts

I have just returned from a visit to the TRINITY YACHTS facilities in New Orleans and Gulfport, Louisiana, in the United States. While discussing a new-build for a client I was able to view the incredible range of large yachts under construction at both facilities. With 20 large vessels totaling 3,349 linear feet of new construction underway, ranging in size from 141’ to 242’, the yachts there represent quite possibly the largest order book of any yard in the world specializing in vessels over 140’/44 metres.

The advantages of building in that area are obvious, with parts, equipment and materials being readily available and weather making year ‘round construction a reality. The skilled labor force is drawn from an experienced ship and yacht building pool, and is very much a ‘force’ for Trinity when compared to the European builders. Some vessels were having interiors supplied by contactors as diversely located as in Maine in the U.S. and New Zealand, where skilled specialist firms offer quality and price advantages for Trinity clients. It is obvious that Trinity have studied the market, the products, and their clients very well to co-ordinate those elements so successfully.

The days of TRINITY exclusively building large luxury motor yachts for American clients are long gone! I saw yachts underway representing an incredibly eclectic group of International buyers. My clients are also non US and I was there to discuss a 190’ explorer yacht new build from ex: pat. New Zealander, now Irish based, Ron Holland with TRINITY President John Dane and vice President Billy Smith. Billy gave me a full tour of both facilities, and his knowledge of all aspects of the work underway was exceptionally helpful. While there, we discussed a vessel that is available and nearing completion which may be of interest to a second client of mine.

During the visit, we discussed some ground-breaking concepts for the Ron Holland Design, and having had a long association with all three men I look forward to the opportunity to work on the concept for my client, secure in the knowledge that we might be working with one of the great builder/design teams in the very near future.

If I can assist any-one interested in projects with either Trinity Yachts or Ron Holland Design, I would be pleased to help in any way possible. TRINITY has some vessels nearing completion, and the owners have discussed their interest in the possibility of building even larger vessels. That represents an opportunity for a buyer to possibly take delivery, in some cases in just 3 to 12 months, rather than waiting for the more typical 24 to 36 months required for a new build.

Ron Holland has recently shown me two proposals for motor yachts in the 145’ range that are going out to bid, as well as some vessels that have begun construction. Ron also has his most recent mega-sailing yacht under construction in England, and is well know for his large sailing yachts launched at PERINI-NAVI and ROYAL HUISMAN over the past 12 months.

As a yacht broker who has sold large motor yachts as well as large sailing yachts, I am involved daily in the ‘large yacht’ market, for both new construction and brokerage vessels, which was the exact purpose of my visit to TRINTY YACHTS and my discussions with RON HOLLAND DESIGN. I know both groups well and look forward to this latest project becoming a reality.

Again, I would be pleased to assist with introductions and advice on any large yacht projects, from construction, to brokerage and even charter, as a precursor to ownership. Many of the large vessels currently on the world-wide brokerage market are available for charter, and that is the route chosen by many first time buyers.

I look forward to hearing from you be phone at + (1) 954-600-8338 or E-mail.

Regards,

Mike
