Fort Lauderdale Boat Show News Report

This large event allows brokers, designers, and builders from around the world to come together and show perspective clients what is new to the market. With 3,000,000 square feet of marinas and waterways; Fort Lauderdale is truly the “yachting capitol of the world”. This year’s show confirmed this with an array of mega yachts, sailing yachts, sport fishers, and tenders. These vessels ranged from 10’ to 248’, including mega-yachts for sale by shipbuilder LURSSEN and DELTA. Other large yachts for sale came from such brands as BENETTI, CHRISTENSEN, FEADSHIP, TRINITY, HEESEN, and PERINI NAVI amongst others.

The general outlook of the show was positive from both exhibitors and boat owners alike, although disrupted by occasional rain, attendees still circulated the docks and stands looking for industry expertise, which they found plenty of this year at the show. Between the Fort Lauderdale and Monaco shows, which were attended by Ocean Yachting International brokers, there are many new developments underway for our brokerage.
