This six stateroom, six head charter-version is destined to become the new standard for the bareboat charter yacht industry. It sleeps 12-14 guests. This optimal layout, plus relatively-low acquisition cost and low maintenance construction enables the owner to maximize the return on his investment. Imagine putting down $250k, borrowing the balance of the purchase price and having the charter revenue cover all operating expenses plus debt service on the loan AND giving the owner $50,000-$100,000/year net in offshore revenue in his pocket. It is indeed possible. Prout has built over 4,200 cruising catamarans over the years and production has moved from the U.K. to the Far East where costs are substantially lower but the quality is the same as U.S. and European-built yachts.
