Ocean Yachting International’s first half of the year has been very productive. We are continuously growing and expanding here at our office in Fort Lauderdale. With the large yacht market on the rise once again business is very active; we have added two new brokers to our office, opened up a new office in Melbourne, Australia, and added additional websites to supplement our main OYIglobal.com site. Our new broker, Wayne Helms, comes to us with years of experience in both yachting and brokering. Roman, our broker from Russia, is in the process of setting up a Russian office. Our Melbourne office is run by Michael Streeter who previously worked out of the Fort Lauderdale office. A native of Australia, he was the broker of choice to open our office down-under. An expert in large motor yachts for sale, his location is convenient for our clients living in Australia and Asia. Meanwhile Wayne Helms, President of Soluna Yachts, has many years’ experience in brokering yachts and in new construction. Turkey, one of the new hot spots for building yachts, is one of Wayne’s areas of expertise as he has many connections to shipyards in the country. In joining us, Wayne, brought us listings for some great vessels from that region including Soluna Yachts and Peer Gynt.
Soluna Yachts are retro express boats built with the latest state-of-the art techniques and materials. These fine quality yachts are built at the Peer Gynt facility in Antayla, Turkey, which is in the heart of Turkey’s booming South Coast marine development. Peer Gynt also specializes in Explorer and Expedition Yachts for world cruising. We have 2 yachts, 80’ and 125’, currently in production, which can be purchased with quick delivery times because of our close relationship with Peer Gynt. We are a reliable source to go to for information on these models as well as in getting timely delivery on both brands.
With the summer boating season well underway it is time already for us to start planning ahead for next season. That means the two largest boat shows are just around the corner. The shows are in Monaco and Fort Lauderdale, taking place in September and October respectively. Two great events to attend to see the latest yachts and boats on the market all in one place. For those who will not be able to attend these shows this year our team at OYI will be attending both and will be able to give you the inside scoop on what will be a good buy for you personally. One of our biggest priorities is to stay on top of the latest news and products. With this knowledge we can better assist our buyers…our priority at Ocean Yachting International.
