ALFA NERO was designed for one of the most discerning yachtsman in the world and the innovative design and in particular the design of the swimming pool on the after main deck that converts to a helipad has changed the styling and use of many large new constructions since ALFA NERO was launched. The upper deck is given over to the owner's residence. The aft deck includes settees that flank a skylight. The sky-lounge and dining room are surrounded with wenge panels and what has come to be known as the "golf ball' wall. Scalloped panels are covered in white lacquer with a mother-of-pearl look, giving the walls a textured effect reminiscent of abstract, flattened golf balls. The wall covering enlarges the room's appearance and sets the mood to that of a European nightclub even in the light of day. The swimming pool on the main deck converts to a heli pad which is one of the most innovative things seen on any yacht in the past.
